Hey Survivors,

It’s been a little while, but we’re finally back working full-time on Rooted again! After releasing our side-project (co-op horror game called Backrooms: Extractions), we took some time to make sure the studio could grow and keep funding the future of Rooted. That step was really important for us, and we’re happy with how it turned out. 

Now that things are stable, we’ve resumed updates for Rooted, starting with the October 28, 2025 update (version 0.0.2.319). We’ve already received a lot of great feedback from players about the performance improvements. There’s still a lot to do on GPU optimization, but the CPU gains are already very noticeable, making the game feel much smoother overall. 

We’re super excited for what’s next. The upcoming updates will bring more systems, better visuals, and deeper gameplay, and we can’t wait to share all of that with you.
