Terms of Sale (TOS)

1. Preamble

The website Rootedthegame.com (hereinafter referred to as "the Site") is operated by Headlight Studio (hereinafter referred to as "the Company"). The Site offers for sale packages intended to support the development of the video game "Rooted™", along with various associated rewards.

2. Acceptance of the Terms of Sale

By purchasing a pledge on the Site, the user (hereinafter referred to as "the Supporter") unreservedly accepts these Terms of Sale.

3. Description of packages

The packages offered on the Site are described with the greatest possible accuracy. Each pledge includes a description of the associated rewards. The various pledge levels and their respective rewards are clearly defined on the Site.

4. Eligibility to Purchase

To purchase a pledge on the Site, the Supporter must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming legally binding contracts.

5. Prices and payment

The prices of packages are indicated on the Site in Euros (€). Payment is due immediately on the date of the order and can be made via Stripe.

Payments are securely processed via Stripe. Headlight Studio does not store any banking or credit card data.

6. Withdrawal and Refund Policy

Consumers have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal, provided that the supply of the digital content has not begun. Downloading, activating, or accessing a digital key constitutes the beginning of the supply of the digital content and results in the loss of the right of withdrawal.
Once a key has been activated or any included digital content has been accessed or used, no refund can be issued.

7. Delivery of rewards

The rewards associated with packages are delivered to Supporters based on the development progress of the game "Rooted™". Some rewards, such as alpha access, are delivered immediately upon confirmation of payment for packages that include them. Other rewards will be delivered progressively throughout the development of the game. The Company will communicate any changes in delivery timelines for other rewards to the Supporters.

8. Liability

The Company cannot be held responsible for delays or problems related to the delivery of rewards, provided that such delays or problems are due to circumstances beyond the Company's control.

9. Intellectual property

All elements of the Site and the game "Rooted™" are the exclusive property of Headlight Studio. The trademark "Rooted" is a registered trademark of the Company. No part of the Site may be reproduced, distributed, or transmitted in any form or by any means without prior written permission from the Company.

10. Applicable law and jurisdiction

These TOS are subject to the law of France. Any dispute relating to their interpretation and/or execution falls under the jurisdiction of the courts of Montpellier, France.

11. Changes to the Terms of Sale

The Company reserves the right to change these TOS at any time. Any changes will be posted on the Site and will take effect immediately.
