We’re excited to share a small but important milestone in Rooted’s development: animals are now live in the world, starting with deer. This is the first time wildlife has been implemented, and it’s something we’ve been eager to get into your hands.
At this early stage, deer can be encountered while exploring and will drop food items when killed. This first implementation allows us to validate behavior, spawning, and performance in real conditions with players.
More depth is already planned. Skinning animals and cooking meat are actively on our roadmap and will be introduced in upcoming updates as we continue to build out the survival systems step by step.
This is only the beginning of wildlife in Rooted, and we’re looking forward to expanding it further with your feedback.
